Software for companies that cannot afford a project
Klok is built by BeyondBoxAI for Indian businesses of fifty to a few hundred people — the companies large enough to need real HR discipline and too small to fund a six-month implementation.
The belief behind the product
> AI does the work. The human just validates.
Every module is built to that rule. A document arrives, the AI drafts the record, a person confirms it. We did not add AI to an HRMS; we built the HRMS around it.
Who this is for
An owner or an HR executive at a company of fifty to a few hundred people, usually in manufacturing, retail, logistics, healthcare or services. Someone who currently runs HR on spreadsheets and WhatsApp, knows it does not scale, and has been quoted implementation fees that cost more than the software.
How we build
We ship what is finished and label what is not. Our pages say when a module is on the roadmap rather than in the product, and our changelog records what actually shipped and when. That is a slower way to market a product and a faster way to be trusted.
Our other product
BeyondBoxAI also builds AssetAI, a maintenance-management system for Indian manufacturing plants. Same belief: capture what happens as it happens, and stop asking people to type it in afterwards.
Four things that decide how this is built
AI drafts, people decide
No model output reaches a record without a person confirming it. That is the product, not a safety setting.
Built for fifty to a few hundred
Large enough to need real discipline, too small to fund a six-month implementation.
Your data leaves when you do
Full export at any time, without a request. We do not compete on how hard it is to leave.
Modules off are not billed
You should not pay for recruitment in a month you are not hiring.
Why we built it this way
The HR software available to a company of a hundred people in India tends to come in two shapes. There is enterprise software, which is capable and requires a project, a consultant and a budget that does not exist. And there is cheap software, which is affordable and gets the statutory computation wrong in ways you discover from a notice.
The gap between them is where most Indian businesses actually sit.
What we decided not to do
We do not automate decisions that carry consequences for a person. The AI drafts a leave application, a claim, an employee record — and stops. It does not approve, reject, or file. That limit costs a few seconds per transaction and removes an entire category of failure.
We do not e-file on your behalf, because the portals do not offer that, and claiming otherwise would be a lie that surfaces at the worst moment.
And we do not make leaving difficult. Every record exports, at any time, in a format you can use.
Who is behind it
Klok is built by BeyondBoxAI. It is the same team that builds our other products, which means the platform shares one spine — one employee master, one approval engine, one audit trail — rather than being assembled from separately acquired parts.
If you want to talk to somebody about whether this fits your company, you can. That is not a sales funnel; it is a conversation, and it is often shorter than a demo.
About Klok FAQs
Who is Klok for?
Indian companies of roughly fifty to a few hundred people — manufacturing, retail, logistics, healthcare, professional services — where HR is one or two people carrying attendance, leave, payroll and compliance for everyone. Klok is built for the team that currently retypes data between a biometric export, three spreadsheets and a filing portal, not for an enterprise HR department with an admin team to configure software.
Do we need a consultant to set this up?
No, and we consider that a design requirement rather than a boast. You import the spreadsheets you already keep, set your policies, and run one cycle in parallel with your current process before you rely on it. If a product for a two-person HR team needs a paid implementation partner to start, the product has failed at its own brief — the setup effort belongs in our software, not your budget.
What happens to our data if we leave?
You export all of it — employees, attendance, payroll history, documents, the audit trail — whenever you want, without raising a request or waiting for approval. There is no retention hold on your own records and no export fee. We keep this promise prominent precisely because we are young: betting on a new vendor is a real risk, and the exit staying cheap is what makes it a fair one.
Does the AI ever change our data on its own?
No, and there is no configuration in which it can. The AI reads, drafts and flags what it is unsure about; a person confirms before anything is written, and the audit trail records who confirmed. This is the product's founding rule rather than a safety feature bolted on — in payroll, an automation nobody signed off is a liability, and "the system did it" is never an acceptable answer to an employee about their salary.
How many customers does Klok have?
We are in our founding-customer phase, and we say so on the customers page instead of implying scale we do not have. The first 90-day production runs are underway, and their case studies will publish with customer-approved numbers or not at all. If buying from a vendor at this stage is a blocker for you, that is a fair position — and the founding-customer terms exist precisely to compensate for it.
Who is behind the product?
BeyondBoxAI Technologies Pvt. Ltd., an Indian company, GST-registered, with a named founder and a phone number and email published on every page rather than hidden behind a contact form. The people who answer that number are the people who build the product — at this stage there is no support tier between you and the team, which cuts both ways and we prefer it.
Is Klok built for India specifically?
Yes — the design centre, not a localisation layer. PF, ESI, PT, TDS, state-wise holidays, minimum-wage floors and multi-state obligations are modelled as the core of payroll, and the employee-facing product ships in ten languages including Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi and Tamil. A product built for another market with India added later shows its seams exactly where compliance hurts most; Klok's seams run the other way.
Try it on your own payroll
Fourteen days, no card, and every record exports back out if you decide against it.
