Attendance & Time

The register writes itself

Employees punch from their own phone, in their own language, or from the biometric device you already own. Shifts, weekly offs, late marks and overtime apply themselves by rule — so month-end is a review, not a reconstruction.

What is included

Everything attendance actually needs

Punch From Any Phone

A web punch that works on a basic Android, with the employee’s own language. No app store download, no training session.

Your Biometric Device

Keep the machine on the wall. Punches import into the same register, so you are not running two systems.

Shifts And Rosters

Fixed, rotating and multi-site shifts, with weekly offs by week-of-month for plants that run six days some weeks and five in others.

Overtime By Rule

Grace, rounding, minimum and maximum OT set once per grade. The number that reaches payroll is computed, never negotiated.

Holiday Calendars

Fixed and restricted holidays, scoped by location and grade, so a Pune plant and a Delhi office do not share the wrong list.

The Register, Exportable

Daily register, monthly summary and late-mark reports — on screen and as CSV, whenever an auditor or an inspector asks.

Where attendance actually breaks

Not at the punch. Almost every company can tell you who was present — the difficulty is turning that into a payable day.

Between a timestamp and a payroll input sit the rules: which shift that person was on, whether it crossed midnight, the grace period, the late-mark threshold, the half-day rule, the weekly off, the holiday calendar for their workplace, the unpaid break, and the overtime rounding and cap.

In most companies that gap is bridged once a month, by hand, under time pressure, by somebody applying rules from memory across several hundred people. That is where the errors are, and it is why overtime is the first number employees challenge.

Two sources, one register

The biometric at your gate covers the people who walk past it. It does not cover drivers, site staff, field employees or anybody working across locations — and maintaining a second system for them is how companies end up with two attendance records that disagree.

Both feed the same register here. The device keeps doing the identity job it is good at; the phone covers everyone it cannot reach.

Contemporaneous, and then sealed

Late-mark minutes are stamped at the punch rather than recomputed afterwards, and the month seals once payroll is approved.

That matters for the same reason a register written up on Friday convinces nobody: the value of the record is that it was made at the time, before anyone had a reason to want it to say something different.

How it runs

From punch to payroll input, untouched

1

They punch

Phone or biometric. The timestamp is captured at the moment it happens, not typed in later from a register.

2

Rules apply themselves

Shift, grace, half-day, late mark, weekly off, holiday and overtime resolve automatically against the policy for that person.

3

Payroll takes it

Payable days and overtime hours flow straight into the payroll run. Nobody re-enters anything, so nobody can mistype it.

Attendance questions we actually get

Our workers are not office staff. Will they use it?

The punch screen is one button in their own language on their own phone, and it works on an entry-level Android. Where phones are not practical, keep your biometric device — the punches land in the same register either way.

Our shifts cross midnight. Does that break the day?

No. A night shift is attributed to the shift it belongs to, not split across two calendar dates, so the register and the overtime both read correctly.

Can supervisors fix a missed punch?

Yes, through a request that is approved and recorded — the correction is visible as a correction. The original capture is never quietly overwritten.

What stops overtime being argued about?

The rules are set once per grade — grace, rounding, minimums and caps — and applied to everyone the same way. The register shows how each number was arrived at.

Can we keep our biometric machine?

Yes, and you should. Export the punch file from the device you already own and import it — shift, grace, late-mark and overtime rules apply on the way in, so you are not running two attendance systems.

How are breaks handled?

Break minutes are deducted rather than assumed. Paying overtime on an unadjusted in-to-out span is the most expensive attendance error we see, and it repeats every month until someone catches it.

What about staff who never come to an office?

They punch from their own phone, in their own language, on an entry-level Android. Field staff and multiple sites are exactly the gap a wall-mounted device leaves.

Can we switch this module off if we do not need it?

Yes. Modules are switched on per company and what is off is not billed. There is no bundle you have to buy through to reach the part you actually want.
